We are currently holding auditions for our

High Stakes Heartthrobs at the Cicada Lounge in Downtown Los Angeles
during Anime Expo Weekend.

COSPLAY ACTOR 

SPEED DATING: 

Participate in immersive one-on-one in-character speed dating interactions with attendees in a structured 18+ roleplay environment. Responsibilities include flirtatious improv, audience engagement, themed interaction prompts, and maintaining character immersion throughout multiple timed rotations and sessions.
 

Tentative speed dating schedule (subject to be shorter):​

  • Friday: approximately 2 PM – 7 PM (4-5hrs)

Please note performers will not be actively working continuously throughout these blocks. Sessions are separated by approximately 20–45 minute breaks and reset periods.

FRIDAY DANCE: 

Participate in the Friday night after dark casino dance event through in-character mingling, modern club-style dancing with attendees, audience interaction, dance card moments, casino game hosting, and maintaining an immersive nightlife atmosphere throughout the ballroom event.
 

Tentative dance schedule:

  • Friday: approximately 9 PM – 1 AM (4hrs) 

COMPENSATION:

Compensation is based on participation level, with up to $250 total available for the full weekend.

Typical compensation:
 

  • Speed Dating: ~$150

  • 1 day speed dating + dance: ~$250
     

Because this event is independently produced and not convention-sponsored, travel and hotel accommodations are not guaranteed.

Feel free to list anything you think makes you experienced for this role. Be it volunteering at a convention or improv classes, etc. Cosplay accolades or otherwise.

Applicants can expect to receive a response within approximately one week after applications close on June 12th regarding whether they have been selected. In most cases, candidates may be contacted to arrange a phone or online video interview either before or shortly after the deadline.
